Environmental Advisor

Laura is an ecologist with a broad academic background in wildlife conservation, recreational ecology, and biodiversity management. Laura brings a multidisciplinary and detail-oriented approach to her work and strongly believes in engaging community members and leveraging environmental data to achieve landscape-scale conservation outcomes. 

Laura completed a PhD at the university of Tasmania specialising in human-wildlife interactions and recreation management, and has worked as a research scientist in Australia and Latin America in a range of ecological and institutional settings. 

Originally from Colombia she now calls Tassie her home and enjoys spending her time outside work bushwalking, exploring Tasmania's natural wonders, dancing, solving puzzles, and trying new crafts like pottery and plasticine.
