Principal Environmental Advisor / Agri Ecologist

Leanne is a senior consultant and agro-ecologist with more than 20 years’ experience in environmental and agricultural management, specialising in improving sustainability within grazing systems. She brings a practical, systems-based approach across soils, waterways, biodiversity, and carbon, with a nuanced understanding of Australian landscapes and agricultural systems.

A strategic thinker and skilled facilitator, Leanne has supported the development of strategic plans for non-profits and private enterprises, led sustainability consulting teams, and mentored colleagues. She has designed and delivered national training and extension programs, led stakeholder engagement, and is widely respected for translating complex science into clear, useful insights for landholders.

Leanne is passionate about collaborating with stakeholders to deliver outcomes that improve the natural environment, animal welfare, and productivity. Her work is underpinned by a genuine passion for robust monitoring and evaluation to enable continuous improvement across program areas, including environmental and social values. Leanne’s experience speaks to the complexity of the systems in which she works.

Time off is spent outdoors in her happy place: camping, mountain biking, bushwalking or bird watching. She enjoys exploring Australia, often migrating north with a tent and 4WD for the winter.
