Stephanie Horwood
Environmental Consultant
I have university qualifications in both mathematical sciences and biodiversity and conservation (with honours), which has given me a useful skillset at the intersection of data, ecology, and spatial analysis. My work primarily blends field-based conservation with GIS, and while I love plants, I find myself increasingly fascinated by the world of animals.
Originally from Adelaide, I moved to Tasmania for its stunning and accessible natural landscapes. In a past life I managed and developed custom databases, giving me a strong foundation in data management and analysis.
I am interested in both the individual and societal change required for sustainable and effective conservation to be implemented, and for nature to be seen as vital by every human being.
